News Release: SITE Selection magazine ranks Danville Micropolitan #10 in US, #1 in KY for new/expanding business in 2018

The March 2019 edition of SITE Selection magazine has ranked the Danville Micropolitan Area (Boyle and Lincoln Counties) #10 among 536 micro communities in the United States and #1 in Kentucky for new and expanding business projects in 2018.  This is the fourth year in a row that the Danville Micro has been ranked in the top ten micropolitan communities nationally, and the first time that it has reached the top spot in Kentucky since SITE Selection’s rankings began.  Since 2009, Danville has been recognized consistently among the 27 top-performing micros in the country, most of those years within the top 14!
 
For 2018, Develop Danville, Inc., reported to SITE Selection announcements of $45,887,210.00 in total capital investment and 89 new jobs in the manufacturing and distribution sectors.  Qualified projects in Boyle County included Luca Mariano Distillery, LLC; Whiskey Service, LLC; American Greetings Corporation; Wilderness Trail Distillery, LLC; Hobart Corporation; and Dana Incorporated. 
 
Since 2008, Develop Danville, Inc., has worked with both new and existing businesses in the industrial sector to make a net cumulative total of $297,458,567.00 in capital investment and a net creation of 1463 jobs to grow our local economy.
