DANVILLE, Ky. - The Danville-Boyle County Chamber of Commerce has selected members for the 2014-15 Leadership Boyle County class.
The leadership program was established in 1983 as a non-profit program designed to enhance the leadership skills of Boyle County residents to improve the community. Since then, more than 300 people have graduated from the program.
"One of the strengths of the program has been the wonderful cross-section of participants we have had in the past," said Chamber Executive Director Paula Fowler. "Leadership Boyle County participants come from diverse backgrounds. We've had bankers, housewives, educators, small business owners, farmers, media and public relations people, medical and legal professionals, and industrial workers participate in the program. This year is no different. We have participants from all areas of our community."
This year's participants are: Christy Block, Farmers National Bank; Nancy Combs, Kentucky Utilities; Jamie Durham, SelfRefind; Brad Fields, Centre College; Mary Flachbart, Boyle County Public Library; Ranea Gibson, Boyle County Schools; Adam Gray, Bluegrass Community Bank; Amy Hazlett, Allstate; Kasey Hill, Danville-Boyle County Economic Development Partnership; Trisha Jarnigan, self-employed counselor; Jessica Johnson, CASA of the Bluegrass; Crystal McPherson, Family Services Association; Andrea Mesplay, Boyle/Mercer Family Court; Hiroko Morimoto, Denyo Manufacturing Inc.; Bethany Rogers, Heart of Danville; Rebecca Rowe, Ephraim McDowell Health; Cay Shawler, Bluegrass Comp Care; Mariel Smith, Danville-Boyle County Convention and Visitors Bureau; Stephen Swan, Centre College; and David Young, Boyle County Schools.
