    Event Description:
Straight from the Las Vegas strip and smash hit performances on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” Recycled Percussion is taking the Newlin Hall stage by storm, defining a new genre of music called ‘Junk Rock’ by making catchy beats on bizarre, everyday objects.  Formed in 1995 by band leader Justin Spencer, Recycled Percussion combines extreme percussion, engaging humor and extraordinary athleticism similar to that of STOMP and Blue Man Group. The band has played over 4,000 shows in more than 15 countries, and also done guest appearances on “Carson Daly,” “The Today Show,” and the Latin Grammy Awards. After being featured on the cover of “USA Today” and being voted National Act of the Year a record-breaking six times, the band gained world-wide recognition. The show has been rocking audiences for over two years in Las Vegas, and will embark on its first US tour this fall. Whether they’re playing on buckets, ladders, grinders or sinks, Recycled Percussion’s boundless energy and creativity will blow you away. Audience members will be given instruments and encouraged to join in the music making fun!
