Parsons Dance Company at Norton Center

Exuberant. Virtuosic. Sensual. These words barely begin to describe the Parsons Dance experience. A powerhouse of energy, ingenious innovation, and athleticism, the contemporary dance ensemble presents exhilarating works that will amaze audiences of all ages and leave them absolutely captivated.

The Norton Center program includes the sizzling New Orleans-inspired “Whirlaway,” set to the music of legendary jazz trumpeter Allen Toussaint; Trey McIntyre’s gorgeous duet “Hymn;” and David Parsons’ mesmerizing signature piece “Caught” that is truly unforgettable. Parsons was last at the Norton Center in 2007 in a program that also featured live music by the Turtle Island String Quartet. Other collaborations have included Steely Dan, Dave Matthews and photographer Annie Leibovitz. This troupe simply soars.
