This September, Danville will be alive with the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of the fifth-ever Kentucky State BBQ Festival. Fragrant blue smoke will fill the air as pulled pork shoulder, Texas beef brisket, ribs and more slow-cook to perfection.
The festival will feature well-known pitmasters: Moe Cason, Ponderosa Barbecue, Des Moines, IA, BBQ Pitmasters Finalist; Shelly Hunt, Desperado's Barbecue, Angola, NY; Melissa Cookston, BBQ Pitmasters Finalist, 2 time Memphis in May Champion and owner of Memphis Barbecue Co., Horn Lake, MS and Fayetteville, NC; Craig Kimmel, BBQ Pitmasters Finalist, Food Truck Challenge, DeLand, FL; Carey Bringle, Peg Leg Porker, Nashville, TN; Brad and Cindy Simmons, Lucky Dog BBQ, Danville, KY
