A Kentucky Voices Event! Good Blues Tonight by Robby Henson and starring Miss Kentucky 2015 Clark Janell Davis! Set in 1956, Good Blues Tonight celebrates Danville's 2nd Street "stroll" where barbershops, pool halls, social clubs, and churches once anchored a vibrant African-American cultural life. The death of the community's patriarch, "Big Walter" brings creditors to take over his "Dorian Hall". That is until "Chrysler", a smooth talking stranger rallies the 2nd Street citizens to stage a benefit blues show starring tbe legendary "Chitlin Circuit" diva Big Mama Thornton. Featuring live blues and gospel music, this exiting new play by our own Robby Heson will rock the house. Rated PG.
