This is an educational, interactive, hands-on, living-history experience designed by teachers specifically for students using Kentucky's Core Academic Standards. It's aimed at children in grades 3 to 8 and has been created to engage students and make Kentucky arts and history come alive. School classes (and homeschool groups) will attend as field trips.
Interactive features will focus on early American survival, daily life, culture, and interaction, including colonial folk music and art; a one-room school house where students can participate in a class from the 1800's; Native American culture and storytelling; colonial and early American technology; agriculture and native plants of Kentucky; practical, hands-on map reading skills navigating through a corn maze; and much more.
