In this class children grades K-3 will have the chance to learn and refine a variety of pottery skills. Beginning with the design process, students will explore the sculptural, architectural and figurative possibilities that clay offers. They will have the chance to create a variety of work including pinch pots, coil and slap pieces and free-form sculpture. Please dress in clothes that encourage messy creativity!
In order to allow our young potters to experience the entire artistic process, from dreaming up ideas to exhibiting finished work, class will culminate in a student-mounted exhibit and reception for families and guests.
