Wilderness Trail on Fast Track

A Danville distillery and it’s scientific sister company are moving more quickly than originally thought toward plans for expansion and a shared new home.

Danville-Boyle County Planning and Zoning commissioners approved a modified site plan Wednesday for the future home of Wilderness Trail Distillery on Lebanon Road. The updated design incorporates Ferm Solutions, a company that specializes in research and product development for yeast fermentation and also co-owned by Shane Baker and Pat Heist.

Baker said Wednesday that the plan actually represents the original vision for the businesses, currently located on Roy Arnold Boulevard, only now it’s racing down a faster track.
